The club was founded in 1931 and federated in 1933.
Upcoming meetings 2025-2026
Sept.- informal in-house arrangement of flowers, plants, sticks. Members will vote on their favorite.
Oct.- Arborist, Randy Faulkner, will discuss maintaining our trees to keep them healthy as well as beautiful.
Nov.- Master Gardner, Jane Slone, will share fertile concepts for designing colorful and creative flower gardens.
Dec.- Christmas Luncheon and Auction
Jan.- Stan Eton will discuss bulbs and have bulbs for sale.
Feb.- Stephanie Rustin, chair of our Pioneer Garden Herbal Garden will share her knowledge of using herbs for aroma therapy.
March-Field Trip to Tyler for the Spring Flower Trail which includes gorgeous azaleas in older parts of the community.
April- Plant Exchange and Annual community service supporting the Mexia State School Greenhouses. Donations for their plants will be accepted at the meeting,
May-Annual Pot Luck and sharing of favorite programs and projects.

Recent club projects:
An Arbor Day donation for the purchase of a tree for the new Sensory Garden maintained by the Corsicana Parks and Recreation Department.
A few members participated in Corsicana’s Pioneer Thanksgiving to promote the garden club and educate visitors on the medicinal herb garden we have planted at Pioneer Village.
